The proceeds of the Resurrection Derby and other club incomes go to salmon enhancement projects:
  • 2022 Provided two scholarships totaling $3,000
  • 2021 Donated $2.000 to Salmon for Soldiers
  • 2021 Provided $3,500 grant for research on population genetics of common rockfish
  • 2020 Donated $2,000 to Salmon for Soldiers
  • 2020 Provided $3,102 grant for Herring spawning enhancement 
  • 2019 Provided $6,300 grant for studying juvenile salmon
  • 2019 Provided three scholarships totaling $4,500
  • 2019 Donated $2,000 to Salmon for Soldiers
  • 2018 Provided $1,500 scholarship with the Anacortes Elks
  • 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 donated $1000 to Salmon for Soldiers
  • 2017 & 2018 Contributed $5000 per year towards UW genetic study in Puget Sound to determine herring stock health.
  • 2016 Provided scholarship with the Anacortes Elks
  • 2016 Participated in Rockfish Study, helped distribute descender devices to recreational fishermen
  • 2015 procured 6 incubator trays for Glenwood Springs Hatchery on Orcas Island
  • 2013 Donated $2000 to Northwest Straights Foundation for derelict gear removal in Area 7
  • Hold annual kids fishing events at Heart Lake
  • Maintained a life jacket loaner locker at Washington Park
  • 2007-2015 Awarded nearly $260,000 in fisheries scholarships through the Anacortes Salmon Derby Scholarship Fund
